Terms of Service
Creating an account is optional when using the app, but required for certain features such as device sync, tracking watch history, and usage of Jiiiii Membership features.
As a part of Jiiiii Membership, you may choose to share with our users a name to be shown in the about screen. This is completely voluntary, and you can change your mind at any time. We may take up to 48h to validate and propagate a change to the name you choose to display, and reserve the right to change it if it may be deemed inappropriate for some audiences.
Not all functionality may always be available. We do our best to keep the service running healthily, but as a team of two we cannot make a promise that no issues will occur. In the event of any serious issue which include long-term outages over several hours, or any security issues, we do promise to share any details publicly through our social media accounts in a timely manner.
You can delete your account at any time within the app, and it will be instantly removed from our service. Note that it may take longer for the account to be removed permanently from backup systems. If sensitive information requires more permanent removal, please contact us.
Free trials are available to all users who wish to try our dono-level membership offerings. Free trials through the App Store will automatically charge your Apple Account when the trial period ends. Free trials on the web do not require a payment method, though one is required if you would like your membership benefits to continue. Once a free trial is used, membership is only available on a subscription-basis.
Membership is offered with additional functionality in exchange for an auto-renewing monthly payment through the App Store or our site. The payment method you choose will be charged once a month until cancelled. If payment cannot be collected for whatever reason, membership benefits will stop after a grace period, and a payment reminder will be sent to the email address you chose when initially subscribing.
You can choose to become a Supporter (also called a “sama”-level membership) at an additional monthly cost, though we actively discourage it unless you would like to directly support Jiiiii and the people who make it. Although we may offer at times additional functionality for our Supporters, we make no promises that the experience will always be elevated above our regular membership. Please don't choose this option unless you think it is worth it and makes sense for you (but we thank you regardless of the membership option you choose)! You can change subscription levels at any time by navigating to the membership section under your Account settings.
If you become a member and later change your mind, you can cancel your subscription at any time and enjoy the remainder of the time left on your membership. App Store subscriptions can be stopped and cancelled through your Apple Account. Note that we are unable to directly cancel your App Store subscriptions and you must contact Apple for further assistance. Subscriptions through our site can be cancelled through our payment provider Stripe by managing your subscription via the links shared by email through your receipt, or by contacting us. Both cancellation methods can be managed by logging in to your account and navigating to the membership options under the account Settings. Some options are not available on our apps and only available on the web.
If you are not happy with the services we have provided and are subscribed with your Apple Account, you may request a full refund through the App Store. In the case of the App Store, we are unable to process or give refunds directly, and they must be requested through Apple Support. If they inform you that they are unable to offer you a refund, please refer them to our policy on this page.
If you subscribed via our site directly and would like a refund, you can request one through our payment provider Stripe by managing your subscription via the links shared by email through your receipt, or by contacting us.
